Proverbs 5:13-14

I have not obeyed the voice of my teachers,
Nor inclined my ear to those who instructed me!
I was on the verge of total ruin,
In the midst of the assembly and congregation.”

Obey them who rule over you. (Heb. 13:17)
The Lord's discipline is for the purpose of furthering His kingdom and to provide us with an abundant life. There is no other reason or validation we should need to follow God's discipline or direction. There should be no other reason we need to decide to follow Him and do what He says.....He is GOD and knows what is best.
